The company says the product, which was shown integrated with Canon digital printing engines, has new modules for automated imposition, colour proofing (through directing Fiery Central jobs to a Colorproof XF-driven device) and image enhancement, which automatically corrects embedded RGB and CMYK images in PDF files.
These new modules are part of Fiery Central Flow – a component of Fiery Central that automates manual tasks and offers advanced digital prepress capabilities, says EFI. Fiery Central is designed to provide “an open, flexible and scalable VDP solution” to enable complex customised marketing campaigns, and EFI says it is ideal for medium to high volume print-on-demand environments such as corporate reprographic departments, print-for-pay and commercial printers.
