Navigator is built on the latest version of Harlequin RIP technology from Global Graphics and Xitron’s Navigator RIP manager workflow, and includes native support for XPS and PDF 1.7. It features an optional PDF soft proofing plug-in, allowing PDF rendering at either 300 or 600dpi, and allowing printers to see a job exactly as it has been RIPed. Users also get access to Xitron’s list of proofing plug-ins, which include Epson’s Ultrachrome printer with Vivid Magenta inks, and Canon 12-colour proofers.
Xitron says existing users of its Navigator workflow and Torrent RIPs can upgrade to Navigator GPS through a special upgrade programme.
