Print Fundamentals

Pira’s three day Print Fundamentals course is an introduction to print, covering areas such as the different print processes, consumables, achieving sustainability in print, prepress and workflow, common file issues, management information systems, data management and print finishing and fulfilment.

All of these topics are dealt with during the first two days, with participants expected to carry out practical exercises such as specifying print to meet cost, time and sustainability objectives, and preparing a mailing campaign for print. Following two days of intensive training and discussion, attendees will visit a local commercial printer for some first hand experience.
